Change IP and Firewall setting with command line in XP

netsh is a useful command in windows xp to configure IP address or firewall setting, I will list some options we can use with this command.
1. set IP address statically:
    netsh interface ip set address "Local Area Connection" static 192.168.254.254 255.255.255.0
    note:"Local Area Connection": your network card name
            IP Address will be 192.168.254.254 with subnet mask 255.255.255.0

2. set IP address with DHCP

netsh interface ip set address "Local Area Connection" dhcp
3. Disable Firewall
netsh firewall set opmode DISABLE
4. Enable Firewall
netsh firewall set opmode ENABLE
5. View Firewall status
netsh firewall show service
