adjust volume on Ubuntu using command line

In Ubuntu there is a command called alsamixer that we can use to adjust volume,
we can turn volume down or up using command line interface.

1. open your favorite terminal -- can be konsole, gnome-terminal or rxvt. then typed alsamixer.
then you will get

use arrow key to turn your volume up and down. try it out.
