How to switch off / switch on bluetooth wireless using commandline -- linux

rfkill is used to switch on/off the following devices:
 - wifi wlan bluetooth uwb ultrawideband wimax wwan gps fm

so if you don't have rfkill install you have to install it.

for distributions derived from debian such as: ubuntu, backtrack, mint
using apt-get to install

for distributions derived from redhat such as: fedora, centos
using yum to install


Example: switch off bluetooth , wirelss

#rfkill block bluetooth
#rfkill block wifi

 Example: switch on bluetooth , wirelss
 
#rfkill unblock bluetooth
#rfkill unblock wifi
