create gre tunnel interface between cisco and linux

1- Linux and cisco configure information

- linux:
  - ip address on eth0 interface 192.168.203.5/24
  - the gre tunnel will be called grew0 192.168.1.2/30
- cisco
  - ip address on f0/1 interface 192.168.203.1/24
  - the gre tunnel will be called tun1 192.168.1.1/30


+ linux command line to create the gre0 interface

root@localhost# modprobe ip_gre
root@localhost# ip tunnel add grew0 mode gre remote 192.168.203.1 local 192.168.203.5 dev eth0
root@localhost# ifconfig grew0 192.168.1.2/30 up

+ cisco

router1# interface FastEthernet0/1
 ip address 192.168.203.1 255.255.255.0


router# interface Tunnel1
 ip address 192.168.7.2 255.255.255.252
 tunnel source 192.168.203.1
 tunnel destination 192.168.203.5
