Connect Internet using 3G modem on linux

1- Download and compile Sakis3G

root@localhost# wget https://github.com/Trixarian/sakis3g-source/archive/master.zip
root@localhost# unzip master.zip
root@localhost# Install libusb-1.0-0-dev
root@localhost#  ln -s /usr/include/libusb-1.0/libusb.h /usr/include/libusb.h

root@localhost# cd sakis3g-source-master
root@localhost# ./compile
root@localhost# cp build/sakis3gz /usr/bin/sakis3g

2- run the Sakis3g

root@localhost# sakis3g
then follow the screen to complete connect to internet, (complete apn, username,password, etc)




3- after connected we get a new interface, ppp0
root@localhost# ifconfig ppp0
ppp0      Link encap:Point-to-Point Protocol 
          inet addr:102.7.43.2  P-t-P:102.64.64.64  Mask:255.255.255.255
          UP POINTOPOINT RUNNING NOARP MULTICAST  MTU:1500  Metric:1
          RX packets:518 errors:1 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:0
          TX packets:457 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0
          collisions:0 txqueuelen:3
          RX bytes:571574 (571.5 KB)  TX bytes:56040 (56.0 KB)
