Linux printer server by using cups service

1- Install cups (normally installed by default ) and samba
$ sudo apt-get install cups  samba

2- use cups admin page (http://localhost:631/admin) to add printer and enable shared option like below

3- restart both cups and samba service.
$ sudo service smbd restart
$ sudo service cups restart

4- on client side (Windows XP)
access UNC like \\server-ip-address  then you will see the name of printer you share

- then add the printer and install the appropriate driver
(in this case) I share Virtual_PDF_Printer (cups-pdf) so you can use driver of HP Color Laserjet PS
