anonymous Web-based file sharing server

There are many ways to share file or transfer file from one computer to another such as torrent, smb, ftp, nc, rsync, http or we just use usb drive to copy from other to another.

And with filetea we can setup it and it run as an http server that we can start sharing file anonymously with our partners or friends, by just providing the url to them. filetea will not store files  on server, it just route the file from sender to recipient only. So both sender and receiver required only web browser and a way to share url in order to share files.

1- install filetea, work well on ubuntu 14.04, (on ubuntu 16.04 it does not work properly)
$ sudo apt-get install filetea

2- edit filetea configure file /etc/filetea/filetea.conf as below
[node]
id=1a0
standalone=false
max-bandwidth-in=0.0
max-bandwidth-out=0.0
source-id-start-depth=19
user=filetea
group=filetea
pid-file=/var/run/filetea.pid
[http]
enabled=true
port=8080
force-https=false
[https]
enabled=false
cert=/etc/ssl/certs/ssl-cert-snakeoil.pem
key=/etc/ssl/private/ssl-cert-snakeoil.key
[transfer]
max-bandwidth-in=0.0
max-bandwidth-out=0.0
[log]
http-log-file=/var/log/filetea/access.log

3- restart the filetea service and ready to go
$ sudo /etc/init.d/filetea restart
it will listen on port 8080 as http server, so when the client access to the url http://server-ip:8080/ client will be able to start the file sharing

copy the url on the left hand side and send it to your partner to access that url the download will start
