gui for browsing and managing ldap on linux

JXplorer is written in java so it is a cross platform application for browsing and editing LDAP. it can search, read and edit any LDAP directory, or any directory service with an LDAP or DSML interface.

***note my ldap directory have the following ***
- admin user = admin or dn: cn=admin,dc=linux,dc=auth
- domain = linux.auth or dc: dc=linux,dc=auth
- password= 123

1- install JXplorer to on ubuntu
$ sudo apt-get install jxplorer

2- to run jxplorer, by execute it on your terminal or with application launcher
$ jxplorer

3- then the jxplorer interface appear click on the connect icon or 'file --> connect' to connect to our ldap directory service
when the connect window appear fill it as below and click ok


4- example to create ou call students
right click on "linux" then click new, then make the new window appear as below

then it will create something like ldif file and file with all attribute available to the object, then you can click summit then the ou students will be created
