install vmware workstation pro 12.5.2 on system with kernel 4.9.x

without a patch, vmware 12.x can not be install on kernel 4.9.x for now,

1- install vmwareworkstation pro, but it won't be successful

2- download a patch
$ git clone https://github.com/cseader/Tools.git

3- prepare the script and apply the patch
$ cd Tools/vmware
$ cat mkvmwmods+patch.sh | sed s:/usr/bin/pwd:/bin/pwd:g > patcher.sh
$ sudo cp *  /usr/lib/vmware/modules/source/
$ cd /usr/lib/vmware/modules/source/
$ sudo sh patcher.sh

4- after apply the patch, it will automatically recompile the vmware kernel modules, and this time it will be finished without any errors.

  1. it has to be unique and productive and more than at-least 450 words. The more accurately you write the more beneficial results will you get. Its also essential for you to write & publish content on persistent basis otherwise these will not deliver expected beneficial results. Thanks... VMware Workstation Pro 12.5
