setup caldav server, radicale

1- install caldav server and other software
$ sudo apt-get install caldav apache2-util

2- update its configuration file, /etc/radicale/conf, as below
[server]
[encoding]
[well-known]
[auth]
htpasswd_filename = /etc/radicale/users
htpasswd_encryption = sha1
[git]
committer = Radicale <radicale@example.com>
[rights]
[storage]
filesystem_folder = /var/lib/radicale/collections
[logging]
[headers]


3- create password file and add user
- add user1
$ htpasswd -c -s /etc/radicale/user  user1
- add user2
$ htpasswd  -s /etc/radicale/user  user2

4- run the radicale and it is ready
$ radicale

now we can access with url
http://user:password@serverip:5232/username/calname
or 
http://user:password@serverip:5232/calname

 **** client ***
we can use either evolution, korganizer, or thunderbird lightning
- korganizer
if akonadi is not start execauete
$ akonadictl start
then
settings --> korganizer configuration --> general --> calendar --> add --> dav groupware


- thunderbird lightning
first install that addon to thunderbird
then add new calendar

- evelotion
file --> new --> calendar
