kvm boot vmdk file

1-  boot disk1.vmdk with
ram: 2gb
network card: 3

$ sudo kvm --drive file=disk1vmdk,boot=on -m 2048 -net nic,macaddr=00:0c:29:c3:92:b9 -net tap -net nic,macaddr=00:0c:29:c3:94:b1 -net tap -net nic,macaddr=00:0c:29:c3:91:b8 -net tap 


2- if we want to have serial on  terminal add -sertial stdio the the command

$ sudo kvm --drive file=disk1vmdk,boot=on -m 2048 -net nic,macaddr=00:0c:29:c3:92:b9 -net tap -net nic,macaddr=00:0c:29:c3:94:b1 -net tap -net nic,macaddr=00:0c:29:c3:91:b8 -net tap -serial stdio

-or to access the serial using ctrl+alt+3 on the qemu window

3- to group a network, use brctl, below is bridging tap1 and tap4
$ brctl show
bridge name    bridge id        STP enabled    interfaces
br0        8000.4a49b091e3a7    no        tap1
                                                                tap4




3- and if it display the following message when start kvm

kvm failed: 16 Device or resource busy

it might be virtualbox or vmware is using intel vt-d,

so stop those services and try again.
